What to expect when you hire me:

 

Step 1: Consultation and questionnaire

To get started, we’ll set up a discovery call so I can learn more about your project. Afterwards, I will send you a project quote and timeline based on your needs. 

Once we decide to work together, I will immediately send you a customized questionnaire designed to help me best understand your business, your goals, your target audience and competition. I will also request any customer insight information you have (surveys, interview notes, reviews, etc.) 

Before I write a single line of copy, I will spend some time reviewing your answers and analyzing your website (if you already have one). I will also be digging into any customer and competitor research you have, or can conduct my own.  


Step 2: Value statement

Next, for website copy, I will translate your answers from the questionnaire in combination with customer research into a value statement for your business. This value statement will become the guiding principle for all the copy I write, and can be a huge asset for you in any/all future marketing decisions.

Step 3: First draft

Now for the fun part: I will sit down and synthesize your responses to the questionnaire, customer research and competitor research into a fully written draft of copy. I will provide you with the copy for each page as well as a recorded video walk-through. 


If you are working with a designer, I will of course work directly with them to ensure best placement. Great copy can fall totally flat unless the design works with it. 


Step 4: Revisions & Final Copy

I offer unlimited revisions for 30 days following the date of draft delivery, as long there isn’t a fundamental shift in the direction of the copy.
